Cara Mia and Olen-Fishing (29.5/40)

A while ago, Archer had mentioned to Cassie that he had found a new fishing spot that had a nice big rock in the middle of the stream to sit on, and had pelanty of fish.  Today, Cassie called up Archer and made plans to bring Cara Mia and Olen out to fish. Archer and Cassie met up in the morning and set out for the stream. The air was fresh and warm, and while there were still sizeable patches of snow in places, a good portion of it had melted, leaving a soggy mess of dead grass. Cara Mia and Olen kicked up a lot of mud as they ran across the plains, spattering their coats and staining their fur a dark shade of brown. Thankfully, the majority of it had managed to stay off their tack and equipment. It didn't take too long traveling by tokota to reach the stream that Archer had found earlier, and they quickly unharnessed their tokotas, pulling their tack off of them and cleaning away the mud spots the best they could. Olen and Cara Mia had immediately made a break for the stream, splashing and playing around in the water as they washed off their coats. Once Olen's coat had returned to it's usual white-ish shade, she began to see flashes of silver in the water. Meanwhile, Cassie grabbed her fishing pole and was making her way to the rock when Cara Mia splashed over and grabbed it as if it was a big stick! Archer sat perched on the rock, amused by Cara Mia's antics while Olen stuck her head in the water, trying her best to catch a fish. It took a little bit, but after Cara Mia had a swim with her trophy, she returned the fishing rod to her handler and joined Olen in her attempts to fish. Archer and Cassie sat on the rock and chatted the day away, ocasionally catching and releasing a fish. They commented on how well Cara Mia's and Olen's training was coming along, though both had nothing but praise for their hard working tokotas. When it was time to pack up, they called their tokotas over to carry them back to the riverbank. They splashed through the water happily with their handlers on their backs, and shook themselves dry once they had dismounted, sending Cassie and Archer scattering in an effort to avoid the water shook from their coats.
