Archer's alarm went off, blaring in his ears until he rolled over and hit the damn thing with a spare hand. He stifled a groan as he pulled himself to his paws, rubbing sleep out of his eyes with the backside of his hand. He had been working with some friend's tokotas over the past few days and taking them out hunting and fishing. Honestly, Archer was a little tired of the constant hustle and bustle, but he had work to do, and could rest another day. He pulled on his clothes, shrugging on his hoodie, pulling on his pants, and wrapping his paws with some strips of cloth to protect them from the elements. He wound the cloth up and over his pants in order to keep it in place. Unlike the previous day, Awi was already up and moving, padding around the enclosure while Olen still slept in the large outdoor pen. Archer moved quietly, not wanting to wake her as he led Awi over to the barn. He brushed him over quickly after a quick glance at a clock told him he was already a little late. Archer tossed a saddle blanket onto Awi's back and climbed up onto Awi's back, and they were off. First they picked up Hiahia matomato wai, who was already up and eager to go. After a quick exchange with her owner, Archer, Awi, and Hiahia matomato wai set off to pick up Aeresella. The other tokota lived a bit farther away from where he had just picked up Hiahia matomato wai, but with Awi loping quickly along the trail with the other tokota following close behind, they made quick time and showed up to pick up Aeresella only a few minutes late. The other tokota seemed a little suspicious of Archer at first, but after sniffing an offered hand she settled in with the other two tokotas and their handler fine. Archer guided Awi back in the direction of Hiahia matomato wai's house, as he had to have her back home sooner than Aeresella, and wanted to stay in the general area. The group padded through the lush forest, and Archer took the time to breathe deeply, enjoying the scents of new growth that saturated the air. He directed Awi down some sort of trail made by hoofed animals, and a quick glance at their tracks told him that it was a deer trail. It wasn't long before Awi suddenly froze beneath him, ears pricked and eyes gazing at something in the distance. Hiahia matomato wai and Aeresella mirrored him, seeing something off in the forest that Archer wasn't seeing. Hiahia matomato wai suddenly sprung away from Awi's side, followed closely by Aeresella, bounding through the brush and quickly moving out of sight. Archer urged Awi after them, following their tracks until they came to a clearing where the two tokotas had brought down a deer. It gave a few last kicks before laying still on the forest floor, and Archer nudged Awi a bit closer to the now dead animal. Hiahia matomato wai released the neck of the animal, settling back on her haunches as Archer hopped off of Awi's back and approached the deer. While at first glance Archer seemed to see a healthy, strong deer, a closer look at one foreleg suggested a recent break. He directed Aeresella to lay beside the deer and rolled it over her back, using a piece of rope to tie the deer's legs around her, preventing it from slipping off of her back. The sun hung overhead, prompting Archer to check his watch. It was time to bring Hiahia matomato wai back, and with a sigh, he hopped onto Awi's back.  He led the group of toktoas out of the forest and back to Hiahia matomato wai's owner.
