The sun was high in the sky as Tendaji set out lazily while riding a heavy set piebald. The male was reluctant towards any form of exercise and letting out the occasional deep sigh to  display his complaint. The lioness had agreed to meeting Archer in the middle of the woods and looked around carefully at the supposed meeting spot. She could identify two twin rocks, a snow capped mountain to the east and a plethora of snowdrops as described before when they agreed on where to meet. She leaned back slightly on Vem’s back as she spotted Hufflepuff dragged half the forest with him in his fur and the van gogh that was following shortly behind him with a very concerned expression at Tendaji that had been ‘stolen away’ by the rather broad piebald and let out a scoff to display how displeased she was. “No worries, Minnie, you’ll soon be seeing a few friends again. Won’t that be fun?” The lioness purred as she leaned over to pat the yeti once he was close enough and side by side with the ‘exhausted’ Vemod.

Archer shoved Akeri’s fuzzy rear end out of the barn into a patch of sunlight. The sphynx froze, confused, as she looked around. Archer had found her that morning shivering in a corner, presumably dreaming about the chilly winter that they had, and watched as the sphynx stared around in amazement at the lack of snow. She took off, rolling herself in the dirt happily and running around the yard while Archer walked back into the barn shaking his head. A tokota who had nightmares about lots of snow, who woulda thought the large canines didn’t like the monstorous heaps of the white stuff. He had to giver her some credit, Akeri did lack the normal amount of fur that the toktoas he worked with usually had. Archer returned to the barn and finished saddling up Jackdaw, rubbing the large black male’s nose with a free hand before riding the tokota out of the barn and down the trail. Akeri charged off ahead of them, forcing Archer to get Jackdaw moving at a quick pace in order to catch up with Akeri. A half hour later he was riding up to the meeting spot where he was supposed to see Tendaji, and after a few minutes of looking, he was able to spot his favourite feline accompanied by three tokotas waiting in the forest.

Tendaji leaned back with a bored expression while waiting on the black and white tabby, she was soon startled from her partially sleeping state by Vem deciding to lie down. She blinked and quickly clung to his man as he did so and drew a deep sigh “Yeah, I feel you buddy.”  She grumbled while leaning over his neck slightly to give him a pat. Minnie on the other hand kept guard and occasionally nipped at the yeti beside her that was attempting to shake his long locks flirtily. Unfortunately his advances didn’t seem most welcome and he soon received a rough nip, causing him to back into a tree and let out an unhappy yip before submissively lowering his head with a quiet whine. The show of submission seemed to calm the van gogh however and she turned her ears to the distant sound of running tokotas, she could scent someone familiar and it made her wag her tail excitedly. She let out a sharp bark in the direction of the rapidly approaching group.

At Minnie’s bark, Jackdaw started into his usual chorus of yips and howls, singing as he approached the group. The group rode up to Tendaji, and Archer greeted her with a hello and a smile. “Sorry for being late, have you seen any moose signs around?” He asked, looking at a muddy patch of ground to see if there were any hoofprints. He presumed that Tendaji had gotten here a touch earlier than he had, and had some time to look around before he arrived. Akeri shot by and continued to run through the trees, though Archer knew she had to burn off some excess energy before she could focus on hunting with the group. “I don’t know how she does it! First she runs around like a bullet for at least an hour, and then she’s calm enough to focus on the task at hand. If only I had that much energy.” Archer said with a chuckle and a sly wink in Tendaji’s direction.

“I’m sure I could keep you occupied for about an hour.” Tendaji snickered in amusement at Archer’s comment, giving Vem a light kick to his sides to wake him up. The piebald was a heavy sleeper and needed a bit of punishment to wake up, not that he could feel the kicks for the most part but he groggily rose to his feet. “Weeeell, I am told by the locals that there’s an overpopulation of moose around here. I thought I saw a couple of legs before but I didn’t want to rob you of the excitement.” The lioness paused for a brief moment to grip the yeti’s scruff and partially prevent him from getting overly excited with Akeri, his tail was wagging excitedly and he seemed to want to say hello. “Do you think they’re fine? I just had a bit of a spat between fluffbrains here and Minnie.”

Archer felt a flush creep across his fur and looked away quickly. “Moose, right, let’s go.” He said, nudging Jackdaw’s sides and sending the large black male off at a trot. He looked over his shoulder as Tendaji asked a question and nodded. “Yeah, they should be fine, Akeri won’t stand still in one place for any period of time right now, and she’s more liable to play with them anyways.” He said as Akeri pranced on her back paws in front of the yeti before dropping back down onto all fours and nosing his shoulder sharply before darting off into the trees. Jackdaw dipped his head slightly, looking through the brush as he picked up a few animal scents.

“Good, she’s such a gorgeous lady that I wouldn’t want her to get into a fight with Hufflepuff. Not that he’s capable of harming much.” The lioness held back another snicker at the sight of the light red beneath Archer’s fur. Minnie was quick to pursue Jackdaw and prance behind him before dipping her head, the heavier piebald let out an unhappy whine about being the one being ridden as he enjoyed participating more actively in the hunts. It was not long before Minnie found herself face to face with a set of long legs and slowly looked up only to have a snort of air in her face. She let out a sharp howl to alert the rest of the group and the yeti was the first to rush to her ‘aid’, seemingly attempting to be majestic while doing so and accidentally tripping in the process. “They’ve got one!” Tendaji cheered and pointed to where the yeti was heading off.

Archer nudged Jackdaw’s sides, but the large black tokota didn’t need much encouragement to go racing after the others. Akeri converged in the area of Minnie’s howl, bounding through the trees only to slide to a halt near the rear end of the moose. The large creature swung it’s head around, narrowing it’s eyes at Akeri before letting out a large bellow. Archer slid off of Jackdaw as they reached the tokotas and the moose and ran to the side, giving Jackdaw a clear shot at the moose. He lunged forward towards the moose’s neck, which was turned towards Akeri. Jackdaw’s teeth fastened around it’s neck and Minnie jumped on it as well, and with Akeri’s help they brought the struggling moose to the ground. Tendaji rode up as the moose lashed out, sending the yeti leaping away from the sharp hooves. Thankfully, none of the tokotas were injured, and the moose finally stilled and gave up its fight with the large canines. Archer slowly approached the downed moose, handing out pats and words of praise to the pleased tokotas, and Jackdaw started up his chorus of yips and whines as Tendaji approached the moose. Archer looked up as she joined him by his side, and rested a hand on the moose’s neck. “Welp, that was quick, shall we start dressing it?” He asked, gesturing towards Jackdaw’s saddle bags.
